Biomass boilers are becoming more popular in many new homes. Biomass boilers generate energy in a broadly similar way to traditional boilers. However, the key difference is that they use organic fuels which are renewable.
They are the most effective way for local councils and architects to meet their renewable energy targets.
A new generations of biomass boiler are easy to install and easy to operate. Biomass boilers can be connected to virtually any existing heating system.
Instead of burning the rapidly diminishing supply of fossil fuels, biomass boilers burn wood chip, wood pellet or cereals or a combination of fuels. Such fuels can come either from plants or from domestic, industrial, agricultural or commercial waste. As such it is considered to be carbon-neutral process, as well as helping to solve issues of pollution and waste disposal. These products produce heat for your central heating system and hot water. It also helps to counter the impacts of climate change.
You can also combine a biomass boiler with a Solar Hot Water Panel, so that it will automatically cut in when there is not enough solar energy to heat the water.
The size of a biomass boilermeans it can be fitted in the same position of some current domestic boilers.
A biomass boiler that would heat a 2 to 3 bedroom house or a commercial unit up to 3000sq ft would fit into a 5 x 4 x 2.5ft space.
Maintenance for a biomass boiler is straightforward due to the high efficiency of the boiler. The boiler produces 1-2% ash - a great fertilizer that can be spread on your garden. You will need to check the ash every couple of weeks.
Biomass boilers are electronically controlled. During commissioning our Alliance engineer will set the control panel to your particular requirements and train you in the operation of your biomass appliance. Operation manuals are supplied with all of the products.
