Unvented systems are fed directly from the cold water mains supply and offer a number of benefits compared to conventional systems.
Unvented cylinders offer higher hot water flow rates for the shower, bath, kitchen, etc.
There is no need of a header tank, therefore it will free up space in the loft and will also get rid of any cistern noises. Additionally, there is no need to worry about frozen pipes in the loft. Unvented cylinders can be installed in a range of locations such as garages, freeing up valuable house space.
There is also the advantage of higher pressure and flow rates at all taps; balanced hot and cold water supplies; and no requirement for special taps. Most unvented cylinders are engineered to have a long lifetime, which ensures good value for money
