Underfloor Heating
Underfloor heating systems are suitable for all domestic properties. They can be easily linked into any heat source (including solar, geothermal, or an existing or new central heating system).
If you want to just heat a conservatory, bathroom or kitchen floors (perhaps as part of a renovation or self build project) you will find that underfloor heating systems are competitive to electric based systems.
Function:
Water at usually 50°C temperature (low temperature) circulates through a series of continuous pipe loops laid under the floor. This turns it into one large radiant surface. All the pipe loops for each room (or zone) run from and back to the system manifold, which is conveniently located in an easily accessible position.
Underfloor heating provides cost effective, comfortable, unobtrusive heating in millions of properties. 
This underfloor heating will supply warmth to a room from the floor up, rather than first heating the ceiling space. Because the larger heating surface does not need to emit as much heat per square metre compared to a radiator, it only need to use low temperature water.
This means that the boiler consumes less fuel; it has lower running costs and less environmental damage.
The differences between the heat produced by underfloor heating systems and radiators are as follows:
Underfloor heating emits greater proportion of its heat as radiant rather than convected heat.
The room air temperature can be 2°C lower for the same comfort level because radiant heat warms the surfaces rather than the air around the surfaces. This will save you money every year as the lower temperature means less fuel is consumed and the system is more economical.
The heat distribution within a room is close to the ideal.
Except for the room thermostat, underfloor heating systems are also completely hidden. The fact that you won’t have radiators to decorate or arrange your furniture around, it will give you design freedom. It is also the perfect solution for heating areas with high ceilings such as galleries and atriums.

Underfloor heating systems are very easy to install because our underfloor heating engineers choose components that are quick and easy to fit, and the installation methods are familiar to them. You do not need to resort to complicated and expensive fitting systems, they just 
use normal materials.

This system can be combined with radiators. The electrical side uses reliable control products which all wire back to one easily accessible location.
Warm water underfloor heating can also be used with almost all floor coverings. Underfloor Heating Systems are designed to be simple and fast to install. It only takes a few hours for our Alliance plumbers to connect the system to the boiler using standard fittings.
Once the pipe has been laid and the manifold is in place, because the fill / drain / bleed connections are all in one place, the system will fill quickly. Balancing the system also gets carried out at this one location, and requires no special methods or techniques –you only need to turn a valve and the system gets balanced.
All the electrical connections are made at the manifold controller, which is located above the manifold. This is where our electrician needs to wire the thermostats using standard 3 core & earth cable. This will then link to your boiler and any programmable controllers and zone valves.
